Aria Salon was asked to give foster mom, Carla Driggs, a makeover for her spread in Northside Woman magazine in its May 2011 issue. Her makeover included a haircut and style by salon owner, Mechelle Khodayari, and a make-up application by Melissa Reich.

"Going Green"
Down south in Alpharetta, GA, Aria Salon.Spa.Shoppe, lights up the neighborhood with cost-effective compact fluorescents. Aria’s nine compacts “use 250 watts but illuminate like 1,000 watts and generate very little heat,” says owner Matthew Khodayari. “Immediately, the employees said the change was like day and night.” In Aria’s color area, compacts beam from a large soffet to bounce light off the walls, compact fluorescents and halogens create a nice combination. Switching his bulbs from halogens to compact fluorescents has not only made Aria more “Green,” but has also slashed the utility bills.

Alpharetta's Aria Salon.Spa.Shoppe, owned by Matthew & Mechelle Khodayari, recently was named one of the , a top business publication for the professional beauty industry. The magazine's ninth annual Salon Today 200 profiled the selected salons in its January 2006 issue. The 200 salons were selected from applications submitted by Salon Today readers, who represent the 25,000 top-producing salons in the country. The magazine honored the applicants who posted the highest increases in gross sales between 2003 and 2004, and who were on track to increase sales significantly in 2005.
In the feature article "Extreme Makover Without Surgery?", Aria Salon helped complete a makeover without the use of any surgical procedures. The transformation included facial rejuvenation, cosmetic dentisty, hair color and cut, and makeup.
Our own Jessica Gould did editorial hair and makeup for the feature article 'Spring Fashion' that displays the latest in season styles for men and women. The article included hot new beachwear to prepare you for any upcoming treks to the beach and the HOT weather that is in Atlanta.

of Atlanta's " Top
Ten Salons." The "Top Ten Salons" are a group of fine salons
that have come together to support "You Can Make A Difference" (YCMAD),
a non-profit organization that is working to find a cure for melanoma. Some of
Atlanta's very best salons have united to fight one of the fastest growing types
of cancer today. Our biggest fund-raiser of the year is the "HAIR BALL" on
September 26th. It will be a fantastic event featuring a hair and fashion show
by the "Top Ten Salons." Stay tuned for details.

an interior design competition conducted by Salon Today magazine, a leading industry
publication. Aria was judged 'outstanding' in its class in the contest among 180
entries.
